This is not a tasty gummy sweet but a Jewel Caterpillar found in Amazon Rainforest. They are covered with sticky goo-like, gellatinous tubercles that provides protection from its predator like ants until they metamorphosise into winged moths.
Even before being called to Federal service in August of 1917, the California National Guard was training with tracked armored vehicles.
The C.L.Best Tractor Company of San Leandro, a agricultural tractor manufacturer and rival of Stockton’s Holt Caterpillar Company, built two prototype tanks based on their Model 75 tractor.
Undated photographs, show one of the tanks training with an infantry unit of the California National Guard, probably the 5th Infantry Regiment (after August 1917, the 159th Infantry Regiment, 40th Division).
One tank was used for recruiting purposes in San Francisco on 4 July 1917.
that’s a very interesting design, not at all conscious of the reality of Trench warfare but interesting

Need I mention cat ears?
When you’re feeling sad, just think about these emperor caterpillars. they’d probably love to peek and see a pretty human with a smile on it’s face.

These cuties turn into the purple emperor butterfly!

Pretty creatures, don’t you agree?

Such a cute couple! Maybe they trained in peeking together?
